Special High-Performance Flat Wicks (HPSP aka HSPS) are slow-burning and are excellent for coconut wax. They are often used in pillars, tapers, decorative, votives, and tealight candles because they minimize soot. HPSP wicks are constructed from long-strand, tight-braid and specially-treated cotton which inhibit carbon deposit and afterglow.
